Amy Dryansky, director of FPR-HC Program in Culture, Brain, and Development
Amy is a poet who has extensive experience working with student-centered programs and mission-driven community organizations. She has a particular interest in neuroaesthetics and the intersections between the arts and the sciences.
Jane Couperus, dean of the School of Cognitive Science and associate professor of developmental cognitive neuroscience
Jane's primary research interests are in the development of attention, learning, memory, and their neurological substrates. Her research uses behavioral and physiological techniques (primarily event-related potentials) to gain a better understanding of the brain over the course of development.
Cynthia Gill, associate professor of physiology, School of Natural Science
Cynthia studies neural regulation and connectivity in response to hormonally-mediated environmental cues. Her interests span the areas of human and comparative physiology, neuroscience, endocrinology, herpetology, conservation biology, and behavioral biology.
Lise Sanders, professor of English Literature and Cultural Studies
Lise's research and teaching interests include 19th- and 20th-century British literature and culture, feminist theory, women's social history, film studies and early film history, and mass culture.
Laura Sizer, associate professor of philosophy, School of Cognitive Science
Laura's research interests span issues in philosophy of mind, philosophy of psychology, cognitive science and philosophy of biology. Her current research focuses on moods and emotions and the relationships between affect and consciousness.
