Types of Aid
Financial Aid includes grants, scholarships, student loans, and work study. Grants and scholarships are gift aid and do not need to be repaid. Student loans must be repaid by the student when enrollment ends. Work study is the opportunity to earn funds to help meet educational expenses. Hampshire students and their families have a number of options and opportunities when it comes to paying for college.
Total aid including merit scholarships, grants, outside scholarships, parent tuition benefits, work study, and loans cannot exceed the student's cost of attendance.
Students must be making satisfactory academic progress according to the College's guidelines to be eligible for many types of financial aid, including but not limited to federal, state, and institutional aid.
