Bay Road Tennis Club
The Bay Road Tennis Club and MultiSport Center, on the campus of Hampshire College, are open during the academic year, September through mid-May, offering:
- Four DecoTurf indoor tennis courts
- Pickleball courts and nets
- 1/8 mile indoor track
- 2000 square feet of fitness and weight room areas with state-of-the-art equipment
- Court seating area
- Men’s and women’s locker rooms with showers
Assorted membership plans are offered. Please inquire about our tennis contracts, which guarantee a weekly court time.

Building Hours
- Monday–Thursday: 7:30 a.m.–9:30 p.m.
- Friday: 7:30–8 p.m.
- Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
Holiday Hours
- Thanksgiving: closed
- Christmas Eve: Close at 2 p.m.
- Christmas Day: Closed
- New Year's Eve: Close at 6 p.m.
Contract Suspension: All contracts are for 34 weeks. They are suspended for two weeks during the winter holidays. Last day of contract play is December 18; contracts resume on January 2.
Membership
Members pay no guest fees, may reserve indoor courts up to two weeks in advance, purchase court contracts at a reduced rate, and use the track and the fitness/weight room.
Members may also use outdoor courts with no court rate — ten tennis courts, four of which are separate and marked for pickleball — on a first-come, first-served basis.

- Family (up to 4 members): $500 (each additional child 17 and under: $100)
- Junior (17 and under, tennis and track only): $150
- Senior (65+): $220
- Track Only: $125
- Guest Fee (per visit): $10
- Junior Guest Fee (17 and under): $7
Nonmembers must pay a guest fee each time they play and may not reserve court time (walk-on only), except during special rate events. Nonmembers who substitute for members on contracts must pay a guest fee. Guests may use track and fitness room.

7:30 a.m.–5 p.m.: $30/hr
Monday–Thursday
5–9:30 p.m.: $32/hr
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
9 a.m.–5 p.m.
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
5–8 p.m.: $30/hr,
Walk-On Rate: $30/hr
Walk-on time is court time not reserved. For this rate, members or nonmembers may not call in advance for court time. Guest fees are charged for nonmembers.
Cancellations
A 24-hour notice of cancellation is required for all court reservations, or court fees will apply. Contact the front desk at 413.559.5785 with cancellation requests.
Seasonal Indoor Court Contract Rates:
Contracts are for 34 weeks; they are suspended for two weeks during the winter holidays. Last day of contract play is December 18; contracts resume on January 2. Contracts starting later in the season will be pro-rated based on the rates below.
- 9 a.m.–5 p.m. (7 days/week): $950/hour
- 5 p.m.–9:30 p.m. (Monday–Thursday): $1,025/hour
- 5 p.m.–8 p.m. (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday): $950/hour
Additional Offerings
Holiday Court Time
All contracts are suspended from December 19 through January 1 and court rates are $30/hr (with no guest fees!). We encourage members and nonmembers to visit the Club and play with their relatives and friends. Members and nonmembers may make reservations.
Pickleball / Pickleball Clinics
Pickleball is an ideal game for all ages, so come on in and give it a try! Please call ahead for more information at 413.559.5785.

Carrington Tennis Academy
The Arthur Carrington Tennis Academy (ACTA) has been at Hampshire College for over 30 years and has successfully produced some of Western Massachusetts's best junior players. ACTA offers after-school programs for juniors. Art Carrington's unique teaching method focuses on honing fundamentals skills while having fun and enjoying the game. The Club is home to many USTA teams. Indoor League play takes place on weekend afternoons throughout the season. Find League information.
