Important Dates and Deadlines

Fall 2024

Thursday, August 29 - New Student Move-in Day (times are based on assignment). Orientation begins and lasts until classes begin.

Saturday, August 31: Continuing students move in after 9 a.m. (and may move in anytime after this date/time); keys for continuing students will be in the Library Post Office mailbox.

Wednesday, September 4: First day of fall Hampshire College classes.

Monday, September 16: Housing freeze ends. No room changes can be made before this date.

Saturday, October 12–Tuesday, October 15: October Break. All residences remain open.

Wednesday, November 27–Friday, November 29: Thanksgiving Break. All residences remain open. Dining Services is closed for most meals during this break period.

Thursday, December 19: Residences close at noon. All residences will be closed for the duration of winter break. The only students who may remain on campus after December 19 are those with prior approval for winter break intersession housing. Visit the winter beak housing webpage for further details.

Spring 2025

Saturday, January 25: New Student Move-In Day. Information regarding arrival times and procedures will be sent to new students’ Hampshire email addresses.

Sunday, January 26: Continuing Student Move-In after 9 a.m.

Wednesday, January 29: First day of spring Hampshire College classes.

Monday, February 10: Housing freeze ends. No room changes can be made before this date.

Saturday, March 15–Sunday, March 23: Spring Break. All residences remain open.

Sunday, May 18: Residences close at noon.
