Stanley Warner, professor emeritus of economics, taught at the University of California at Santa Cruz, and Bucknell University prior to coming to Hampshire.
His research and teaching interests include the structure of the American economy, comparative economic systems, environmental economics, and economic theory. He is specifically concerned with the modern corporation as understood by conventional and radical theories, the political economy of capital mobility and deindustrialization, and the social and economic dimensions of workplace democracy.
His most recent research examines the environmental and social impact of hydroelectric development in northern Quebec.
