We offer 50+ student groups, which support an eclectic range of campus events and activities, as well as intercollegiate club sports, intramurals, an outdoor recreation program, and access to the clubs, organizations, and events at the other Five College schools.
Through event registration and the formal recognition of student groups, Hampshire College encourages students to design and implement programs that enrich and are consistent with the educational mission of the College. The name "Hampshire College" and all abbreviations are property of the Trustees of Hampshire College and may not be used to imply, either directly or indirectly, the College's endorsement, support, favor, association with, or opposition to an organization, product, or service without permission of the College. The assistant director of Student Engagement, as well as the Office of Student Success & Engagement or designee, may deny recognition as well as cancel events or activities that violate any of these criteria. Student Engagement staff are happy to help Hampshire students get involved!
Outdoor Programs, Recreation, and Athletics
OPRA emphasizes combining your outdoor and physical activities and physical learning experiences with the rest of college life. With 800 acres of meadows and woods, a nearby mountain range, tennis courts, soccer fields, indoor track, climbing wall, a sauna, and a pool; this is easier than you might expect.
