Visiting International Scholars
The global education office is a designated sponsor for exchange visitor (J) non-immigrant visas for individuals approved to participate in work and study-based exchange visitor programs. For Hampshire faculty members interested in inviting a scholar to campus, please contact Yaniris Fernandez for more information.
In this capacity, Hampshire receives visiting professors and scholars who lecture, teach, and engage in research. Hampshire hosts scholars and professors from all over the world. The majority of visitors are affiliated with two of Hampshire's Signature Exchange Program partners: The Anhui Agricultural University in China and the Fundación Alejo Carpentier. Additionally, Hampshire provides collaborative support to the Five College Center for the Study of World Languages, which hosts Fulbright scholars. The Five College Center coordinates the study of the least commonly taught languages for the Five College consortium. As part of their program, the Fulbright scholars teach their native language to Hampshire and Five College students as part of the Five College Mentored Language Program.
For more information, please contact the global education office and review the International Scholars page, a brief guide.
