Hampshire College Hometown Aid Program

Local residents admitted to Hampshire who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will have their full demonstrated financial need met by the College.

Hampshire College is pleased to announce the Hampshire College Hometown Aid Program, a new plan to meet the full demonstrated financial need of students applying from Western Massachusetts. The College has deep and lasting relationships with secondary schools in the region and also benefits from the area’s robust homeschool, unschool, and no school cultures. Local students often graduate and return to these communities, becoming the College’s most ardent advocates.

The offer applies to students from Franklin, Hampshire, Hampden, and Berkshire Counties. Local residents admitted to Hampshire who submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will have their full demonstrated financial need met by the College. Demonstrated need is determined using Federal Methodology, which is calculated based on students' individual FAFSA. The aid award may include a merit-based scholarship, need-based grant, Federal aid (loan, grant, and work-study), and Massachusetts state aid.

Requirements & Qualifications:
