How to Hampshire

8-9 p.m. ET / 5-6 p.m. PT on Zoom

Hampshire’s newest families are invited to join us for a 60-minute virtual orientation session designed to give a deeper understanding of Hampshire and its resources. We will cover a variety of topics pertaining to academics and campus life as well as answer any questions.

  • Dive deeper into Hampshire’s unique academic program and learn about all the resources available to students, including advising, evaluations, and the Five College consortium.
  • Hear how Hampshire fosters wellness and supports health and safety needs for new students.
  • Learn more about how we facilitate student development and success outside the classroom. We’ll discuss the programs, resources, and services that support campus life, such as housing, student groups, recreation, and new student programs.
  • Learn about what you can expect during your student’s transition to Hampshire.

Transition & Separation Workshop

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. ET in the East Lecture Hall, Franklin Patterson Hall

After you help your student move in, join Director of Health and Counseling Services, Eliza McArdle for her Transition & Separation Workshop. This is a wonderful program and a great opportunity to get to know each other in person as we start this journey together as partners in your student’s education. We’ll talk about what your students might experience in their transition to Hampshire – and what changes you might expect at home.

After the workshop ends, you will be able to reconnect with your student for lunch in the Dining Commons.
