Ann-Marie White
Dr. Ann-Marie White is a school leader, science educator, workshop facilitator, and diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging (DEIJB) practitioner with extensive experience developing interdisciplinary and cross-cultural programs in a variety of school settings. She is currently the director of diversity and equity at the Putney School in Putney, VT where she also teaches science and engineering. The Putney school is a progressive, coeducational boarding and day school focusing on “integrated” classes that combine subject areas into singular courses that are intersectional.
White also holds leadership positions at the Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School and Deerfield Academy. She has coached other educators, developed specialized curricula, and consulted several schools on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Prior to her current position at the Putney School, she was the PK-12 science chair at The Blake School and the academic dean at The Putney School.
White holds a Ph.D. in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
