Jordan Strauss 96F
Jordan Strauss joined the Board in 2019.
He is a managing director at Kroll | Duff & Phelps, a global consulting firm, where he helps not-for-profits, educational institutions, and for-profit organizations gather facts, understand risks, and manage their operations.
Jordan previously worked at the Obama White House National Security Council and in a number of roles at the US Department of Justice, including as senior legal advisor and deputy justice attache in Kabul, Afghanistan, and as the director of preparedness and response at the National Security Division.
After his graduation from Hampshire, he attended law school at Case Western Reserve University School of Law where he was a merit scholarship recipient, honors graduate, and member of the law review. He began his legal career as a federal law clerk, then joined the Justice Department through the Attorney General’s Honors Program.
He teaches national security law at Drexel University and regularly presents on investigations, governance issues, fact-finding, and risk management. He is one of two outside counsel (pro bono) to a grammy-award winning new music chorale ensemble.
He spends his spare time providing pro bono counsel to people who cannot afford their own lawyer, with a focus on artists and victims of predatory lenders.
