Withdrawing from Hampshire
Students who want to withdraw from Hampshire College must complete a Declaration of Intention form on TheHub. Advising Deans are available to talk with students about their plans.
Deadlines and Fees
The Declaration of Intent must be filed in CASA by the enrollment notification deadline. The enrollment notification deadline is listed each year in the online academic calendar and tuition information by Student Financial Services.
A change of status from fully enrolled to withdrawal after the ECheckIn Deadline will, if approved, lead to the partial or full forfeiture of tuition, room, and board fees. Refer to the fee brochure and the student accounts website for the refund schedule.
Vacating Student Rooms
Students who withdraw must vacate their on-campus rooms within 48 hours after the date the Declaration of Intent form is submitted. All residential keys must be returned to the Housing Office upon a student's departure. Failure to comply with this policy may result in additional charges commensurate with the amount of time students have taken to vacate their rooms or to make arrangements with the area office to have articles moved to storage.
International Students
International students (with an F-1 student visa) are required to consult with the International Student Services BEFORE filing for withdrawal regarding visa implications of withdrawing.

- Request transcript(s) online to be sent to each institution.
- Connect with Central Records and respective admissions offices of the institutions the student is applying to determine what credits they may transfer.
- Once a student’s plan is solidified, fill out the Declaration of Intention on The Hub under Registration to be withdrawn from the College.
