Visit the Farm
Visitors and volunteers are welcome to tour the Hampshire Farm and are encouraged to get involved! Please be mindful that this is a working farm; visitors should exercise caution around vehicles, machinery, and electric fences. Certain production areas do have limited access. Thank you, and enjoy your visit!
Directions
The farm is located on the northeast edge of campus on West Street/Route 116. Parking is available at the Farm Center, located at Thorpe House.
Self-Guided Tour
Our self-guided walking tour map will lead you around the fields, pastures, greenhouses, barns, and offices that comprise our campus farm. Visitors are welcome to walk around the farm during daylight hours, year-round. Please be mindful of moving machinery and limited access areas (including electrified fences, animal enclosures, and locked outbuildings). The walking tour covers approximately one mile of rough, muddy terrain; please plan accordingly.

Schedule a Visit
If you are interested in a guided tour, would like to meet with farm staff, or are a Hampshire College staff member, faculty member, or student who would like to reserve a group meeting space at the farm, please email farm@hampshire.edu to schedule your visit. Please provide us with your contact information, the nature and size of your group, and the dates and times that you are interested in visiting. We kindly ask that most requests be made at least two weeks in advance. Please note that farm staff are not available on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
On-Farm Projects
Because the farm is a dynamic place with a wide variety of ongoing activities, students, faculty, and staff members who would like to use the farm for research, art, or other projects are requested to submit a proposal to the Farm Committee well ahead of time. Going through this process will help ensure the awareness and support of the farm staff, the basic viability of the project from the farm's perspective, and the prevention of potential conflicts with any other ongoing projects or activities of which the applicant may be unaware.
