Hampshire College, founded in 1965, is the result of generous and visionary donors, the first of whom was Harold Johnson. Students today have the option of a Hampshire education thanks to the foresight of donors and the generous gifts from graduates. The next generation will have that choice thanks to commitments of support made today, and by thoughtful estate planning.

The board of trustees established the Harold Johnson Society to recognize individuals who name Hampshire in their will or name Hampshire as a beneficiary of another planned gift, such as a trust or an insurance policy. If you have made such a gift, please let us know by contacting us.

Membership in the Harold Johnson Society involves no dues, obligations, or solicitations; it is a way by which we can thank you and recognize you for the plans you've put in place, and it may inspire generosity in others.

When you become a member, you receive news, reports, and special invitations to events. The most important benefit, however, is the satisfaction of knowing that as part of your legacy, you have helped secure the option of a self-directed education, unlike any other, for tomorrow's world.
