In a question-and-answer session, Revkin will share information about his own career trajectory as a science writer to longtime Times reporter, to DOT EARTH. His work examines efforts to balance human affairs with the planet’s limits, and he will answer questions about the urgency with which we must attend to climate change as well as the important role writers and other cultural creatives can play in building awareness around sustainability issues.
President Jonathan Lash will introduce Revkin, and Professor Aaron Berman will facilitate the conversation.
All are welcome. In addition to being of interest to those involved in environmental studies and sustainability, “Writing About the Environment: A Conversation with New York Times DOT EARTH Blogger Andrew C. Revkin” will hold special appeal for students interested in writing, science writing, journalism, and/or public policy.
