Hampshire Highlighted in AASHE's 2014 Sustainability Review
Hampshire College is one of 11 institutions worldwide highlighted in the AASHE 2014 Higher Education Sustainability Review, which reports on “trends toward high-impact transformative learning projects and partnerships to advance sustainability on a local and global front.”
In its annual review, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) analyzes trends in the higher education sustainability movement and tracks the rise in campus sustainability planning and curricular and operational initiatives.
Hampshire’s ambitious 100% Local Food Challenge, an initiative aiming to eventually source nearly 100 percent of food from within 150 miles of campus, is featured.
The new 2014 AASHE review highlights campus sustainability success stories and implementation tips from colleges and universities in Canada, Denmark, Singapore and the United States.
