Hampshire's Tribute to Mathematics Professor Garners International Recognition

For decades, Hampshire Mathematics Professor David Kelly has taught not only traditional study of complex functions like Calculus but also the mathematical and social history of the number 17, which "has fascinated mathematicians for 2,000 years," he says.
Recently, the College paid tribute to Kelly's legacy by raising the campus speed limit to 17, garnering press coverage from the Associated Press, CBS Radio, WBZ Boston, Inside Higher Ed, the Boston Globe and others.
