Professor Baba Hillman's New Film Premieres at the Edinburgh International Film Festival
Professor Baba Hillman's new film, Jacumba Song, premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this summer in the Black Box "Sonic Spaces" program.
Professor Baba Hillman's new film, Jacumba Song, premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this summer in the Black Box "Sonic Spaces" program. Jacumba Song combines legend, cartoon, and dream in an exploration of mythologies and performative languages of romantic love and illusion. The film has also been selected for the Canadian Filmmakers Distribution Centre's 2014 New Experimental Works Collection.
Professor Hillman's film Decroux's Garden, distributed by CFMDC, Canyon Cinema, and Collectif Jeune Cinéma in Paris, will screen in the "Metamorphosis" 16mm film program at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.. The film centers on her return to the home of a beloved teacher in Paris.
