Dean Dr. Steven Roof was interviewed by WHMP radio about the efforts of students partnered with campus leaders and others to take responsibility for the energy we use on campus. Their results include a plan for the campus to go solar this year, and the construction of a new carbon-neutral living building that promises to set a new standard for green building design. These efforts have also created new educational opportunities for students, and new models for how colleges and other institutions can act as responsible environmental stewards.
