WGBH Public Radio Boston Reports 'Hampshire College Leads Way in Sustainability'
As Hampshire was planning its first new building in more than two decades and estimating the cost of solar panels, they were so encouraged they decided to plan to solar-power the whole campus, reports WGBH radio.
President Jonathan Lash told WGBH the solar project aligns with the college’s founding mission to explore the boundaries of higher education. “I think that’s still our role. We should still be pushing the edges,” said Lash, who was interviewed along with Associate Director of Facilities Carl Weber.
