Gary Marcus on 60 Minutes

Gary Marcus is a leading voice in artificial intelligence. He is a scientist, best-selling author, and serial entrepreneur — founder of Robust.AI and Geometric.AI (acquired by Uber).

An emeritus professor of psychology and neural science at NYU, Marcus has written four books about the origins and development of the mind and brain, including the New York Times Bestseller Guitar Zero, and Kluge: The Haphazard Evolution of The Human Mind, which was a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice. He is also the editor of The Norton Psychology Reader and the author of numerous science publications in leading journals, such as Science, and Nature. His essays have appeared in forums such as Wired, Discover, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times.

Most recently, he published the book Taming Silicon Valley: How We Can Ensure That AI Works for Us.
