Suzanne Perkins (she/her) is a developmental cognitive neuroscientist at the University of Michigan studying how poverty and child maltreatment affect brain development. She was a teacher of students with disabilities, mostly associated with abuse and neglect, and continues her advocacy for people living with disabilities as a member of the IDEA board of the U of M Disability, Equity, and Inclusion initiative. She is a co-founder and research lead for SaveHampshire.com and brings to the AAG her knowledge of academia, advocacy for students with disabilities, research skills, and her unwavering commitment to build on the successes of the best college in North America.
