Physical Wellness
Physical Wellness involves attending to the needs of your body through physical activity, good nutrition, sleep, and cultivating healthy habits.
Expressions of Physical Wellness
- Consuming foods that positively contribute towards a healthier lifestyle.
- Taking part in physical activities on a regular basis; a moderate level of exercise for a minimum of 2.5 hours per week is a good goal to set.
- Attending regular preventative check-ups such as physicals, sexual health screenings, eye, and dental exams.
- Limiting your consumption of tobacco, drugs, and alcohol.
- Getting the sleep your body needs; approximately 8 hours of sleep a night is recommended.

- Schedule a health exam with Health and Counseling Services
- Drop in to a fitness class or join an athletic team through Outdoor Programs, Recreation, and Athletics
- Attend a self-care workshop at the Wellness Center
- Sign up for a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) vegetable share from the Hampshire College Farm
