The Leadership Alliance Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP)
Designed to encourage students from groups traditionally underrepresented in the sciences, social sciences, and humanities to consider research careers in the academic, public, or private sectors. This all-expense-paid summer internship provides students with a competitive stipend, travel, and housing.

Arts/Museums

Arts Intern Program
Places college undergraduates from diverse cultural backgrounds who have financial need in paid summer internships in New York City museums. Eligible applicants must be New York City residents.

Getty Internship Program
Summer internships at the Getty Center for undergraduates of culturally diverse backgrounds interested in professions related to museums and visual arts. Must be a Los Angeles resident.

Multicultural Arts Management Internship Program
Ten-week summer internship program at New York City arts organizations for rising juniors or seniors, with preference given to students of color.

The Smithsonian Institution
Offers internships in many different areas of the museum complex. Fellowships are available for all students of color, and for Native American students specifically.

Business/Finance/Advertising/Tech

Allen Rosenshine Minority Education and Training Fund
Awards internships to minorities, women, and individuals protected under the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act to encourage the pursuit of careers in advertising.

INROADS
Internships for minority freshman or sophomore students with a career interest in business; engineering; computers and information sciences; retail store management; sales; health; or marketing.

Multicultural Advertising Intern Program Fellowship
22-week, nationwide fellowship that is both virtual and in-agency, including a ten-week paid summer internship in advertising for undergraduate and graduate students of color.

Sponsors for Educational Opportunity
Paid summer internship programs for students of color leading to full-time job offers. Programs are in finance, technology, business, and real estate.

Community Leadership/Public Policy/Teaching

CORO
Paid post-graduate fellowships and some undergraduate internships in public affairs, business, community-building, and health.

Institute for Recruitment of Teachers (IRT)
Summer intern program empowers talented underserved and underrepresented students to teach and serve as leaders in American education.

Public Policy and International Affairs Junior Summer Institute
Seven-week summer program that focuses on preparing students for graduate programs in public and international affairs and careers as policy professionals, public administrators, and other leadership roles in public service.

Union Scholars Program
Well-paid summer internship doing labor organizing. Includes a matching scholarship for school expenses.

Media, Journalism, and Entertainment

T-Howard Foundation
Paid summer internships in the entertainment industry for women and students of color.

International Radio and Television Society Foundation (IRTS), Inc.
Summer Fellowship Program that teaches up-and-coming communicators the realities of the business world through an expense-paid fellowship.

The Emma Bowen Foundation for Minority Interests in Media
Prepares youth of color for careers in the media industry. This program is open to first year students ONLY; however, once students are accepted into the program, they stay in the program throughout college. Participants do paid summer internships, and receive matching scholarship funds.

Indiana University School of Medicine
Offers many research and internship programs for high school, pre-med, and medical students. Some programs are specifically for underrepresented populations in health and medicine.

National Institutes of Health Research
Training program in allergy, immunology, or infectious diseases for students underrepresented in biomedical research.

Summer Medical and Dental Education Program
Six-week summer programs for freshmen or sophomores offering educational and career development activities in the medical and dental fields. Consideration given to applicants identifying with racially/ethnically underrepresented groups in medicine and dentistry.
