Meet Your Dakin Peer Supports!

Image removed.Cristina Culler: Hi! My name is Cristina & I use she/her pronouns. I am in my third year at Hampshire and my final semester of Div II. I study mainstream psychology and more ‘alternative’ forms of psychology that are often viewed as illegitimate like psychoanalysis & critical psych. This is my fifth semester volunteering to be a peer support and each year I am constantly reminded why I love being a part of peer support. Even though our former title, peer chaplains, makes it seem like we have a religious affiliation, we do not, we welcome every and any one to come to our office hours or to set up an appointment with one of us because we want to support anyone in need. I love being a part of P.E.E.R.S. because I get the opportunity to support others but am also always supported by the other P.E.E.R.S. Being involved in this has made Hampshire feel like home, and I couldn’t imagine being here without it. Thanks for reading! ❤️

Image removed.Jaydon Diamond: Hey!! I’m Jaydon and I use he/him pronouns. I’m in my final semester of Division III here at Hampshire studying critical and clinical psychology, with a special interest in humanistic and holistic approaches to psychotherapy. I love music, animals, photography, hiking, and meeting new people! I have been a peer support since my second semester of my first year. I heard about the program in my first weeks at Hampshire and knew I had to be a part of it. I loved the idea of being part of a community of compassionate and empathetic peers who, just like myself, want nothing more than to listen and provide a non-judgmental space for anyone in need. I think it is so important that people know that they have somebody to talk to, so please reach out and remember you’re not alone! <3

Image removed.Nicole Tyler: Hellooo, my name is Nicole (she/her pronouns), a third year Div II student. I study clinical psychology, where much of my interests revolve around the psychoanalytic and psychodynamic, and gender studies. I am a Pioneer Valley local, commuter student, and semi-professional dog mom to 3.5 year old Kirby. This is my first semester as a peer support and I am uber excited to meet you! I decided to become a member of P.E.E.R.S. because of my love for our campus and community, and my personal commitment to providing more compassion to our world.

Image removed.Mallory Staub: Hello! I'm Mallory! I use she/her pronouns. I'm a transfer student from Pennsylvania in my second and final year at Hampshire, working on completing Division III. I study holistic psychology, which includes the study of psychology, sociology, nutrition, and spiritual well-being. I have a love for music, photography, painting and drawing, animals, cooking, and yoga study and asana practice. Through the P.E.E.R.S. program, I hope to offer a safer space on campus for freedom of expression, reflection, support, connection, and unconditional acceptance. Feel free to drop in to talk - anyone and everyone is welcome!
