Skiing and Snowboarding

A wide range of skiing opportunities exist within a short distance from the Hampshire campus. Natural snow conditions provide excellent cross-country skiing in the nearby Holyoke range. Weekend trips are scheduled where students may tour an area on skis and do an overnight.

There are over eight touring centers located in western Massachusetts within a short driving distance of Hampshire. Cross country skiing equipment is available for students to borrow with a valid Hampshire ID card.

There are several downhill resorts in Massachusetts, Vermont, and New Hampshire, all within a short driving distance from the College. Most resorts offer student discounts and rental equipment.

The Outdoors Program runs a trip to Berkshire East for Thursday night downhill skiing.
