Course Descriptions
Yoga
Learn the basics of yoga practice, including asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), vinyasa (moving with the breath), philosophy, and meditation. This class is intended for those new to yoga as well as those who've had experience, but are looking for a slightly less rigorous class. Please wear clothing you can move comfortably in, and bring a yoga mat.
Circuit Training
Circuit training is a form of body conditioning, endurance training, and resistance training using high intensity. It targets strength building or muscular endurance.
Shotokan Karate Club
Shotokan Karate is a martial art specializing in systems of blocking, striking, kicking, and making body movements without weapons. Combined with balance, timing, and coordination, single techniques are threaded together to create sequences of movement that imagine engaging with hypothetical opponents. These forms (kata) are karate's longest-surviving lessons, passed down from generation to generation.
Spinning
Designed for all fitness levels, spinning is a group cycling class that guides participants through workout phases using music, warm up, steady up-tempo cadences, sprints, climbs, and cool downs, offering an exhilarating cardiovascular workout.
Hiking
Come drop in for a leisurely hike! A fun and well-spent hour getting outdoors, meeting new people, and enjoying the wonderful woods of campus and just across Bay Road. Meet at the front entrance of the Bay Road Multisport Center, next to the Early Learning Center.
