Kathy Kyker-Snowman Outdoor Leader Training Fund for Women
For 30 years, Kathy Kyker-Snowman devoted her professional life to inspiring students of all ages to discover their strengths through energetic outdoor adventuring.
At the age of 52, Kathy lost her vibrant life to cancer, and outdoor education lost an exemplary leader. She was known for her enthusiasm, welcoming smile and acceptance of others without judgment; her perpetual devotion to learning and to teaching others; her physical strength; and fearless, skilled, and joyful ability to lead. This fund was started by Kathy's family, friends, and associates to keep her spirit alive.
The fund provides grants to support women outdoor leaders in their efforts to enhance their professional skills. The fund is open to women students at the Five Colleges who have a keen interest in outdoor recreation, especially those pursuing leadership position.
