URL Shortening Policy

The domain http://hamp.it has been set up as a URL shortening service for Hampshire users to create short URLs that link to Hampshire resources. The following criteria outline the use of this service.

Students, faculty, and staff of Hampshire College may use http://hamp.it to shorten URLs for the following websites/domains:

• hampshire.edu
• qualtrics.com

Other domains may be added in the future, at the discretion of the IT department, if a compelling case is made tying them to campus need.

The IT department reserves the right to remove shortened URLs if

• they have not been accessed in 180 days or more.
• they contain links to content found to violate any policies in the student handbook, including, but not limited to, the discrimination and harassment policy.
• they link to content that does not meet web accessibility guidelines.
• they violate any part of Hampshire College's IT acceptable use policy.
