Alum Writers Advisory Council

Alums who studied creative writing at Hampshire have gone on to become poets, writing teachers, novelists, literary agents, nonfiction writers, publishers, editors, journalists, marketing mavens, ghostwriters, content creators, freelancers, bloggers, children’s book authors, scriptwriters, comic book authors, and more. But how did they do it?

The Hampshire Writers Advisory Council provides opportunities for alumni and student writers to explore the landscape of writing careers and to demystify both the opportunities and challenges that writers face.

Alumni members of the council share ideas that come from their own experiences, as well as from those of their friends and colleagues. Hampshire staff and faculty also facilitate opportunities for students to engage.
